Make no mistake, i am sure this conversation has taken place, but please know the NEW MAC rule... An inner conference athlete transfer can never recieve athletic aid from from the new institution. i hope any UA athletes know this before making a life changing decision.

STOP THIS TALK ABOUT KEN LOLLA Real quick for those of you who did not know this man personally, he is the one that created the TRADITION of Akron soccer winning. CALEB wanted to build a national power house on top of his foundation of a strong fan base and winning tradition. To understand why Lolla left is simple. He took our team as high as he could with the recruits HE was able to get to AKRON. Porter has INSANE connections to national teams and once you get one of those kids and they love playing for Caleb then the rest climb on. Lolla's team is still playin the same style they did when he was here, he can just recruit better kids at Louiville then he could here because of the conference and school. Could Louisville be trouble in the tourney???? WHO knows, but wouldnt that be one hell of a CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!!!!

At a university striving for identity, i saw 2 things last night that will forever be remembered. . A rediculous crowd of students so passionate and zellous with UA pride that their ability to create an electric atmosphere crushed Tulsa's spirit as well as any potential team to ever play on the lee jackson pitch on national telelvision i watched a team play to and beyond their potential , not only for them selves, their coach, but most of all for the fans that so dearly love them. The athletic department should do everything in its power to have Caleb in the national spot light and tap into the 200,000 + youth soccer kids within a 30 mile range of campus and make the crowd even larger. Promote! promote! promote the a team that that so badly deserves it. congrats zips. this IS a FUTBOL school!

Again, Not one person visiting this site will disagree that the Zips are in a bad position..... However, If you understand contracts Coach I is guaranteed this money, so we would have to pay it all, unless he gets picked up somewhere else. maybe the Zips new SUPER DONOR MR SUAREZ will not like his money going to waste.....

For those of you looking for a new coach....STOP....UA can not get out of a 5 year deal for nearly 2 Mill. UA can not afford to pay that off and find a new coach. What fans, campus and athletic administrators must understand is that UA is much closer to being a 1AA school then it is a Power mid-major. Take note from other universities that made fast turn arounds, and HIRE people with PROVEN business skills in similar areas that will match the AKRON community... What works at a big 10 wont necessarily here in the Rubber City. AND PLEASE eventually hire a HEAD coach that wins consistently for years at a lower level. They will have the desire and drive to win, not simply JUMP to the next job. People need to clearly understand their product, (UA the city, the school, the people) and then find the person that has the ability to lead that demography. Good luck to us in the next few years.... it may be rough. by the way Pres. Pruienza is the greatest this that ever happened to UA, why the HECK did he ever pay someone more then himself????
