UL did the same thing last year losing to Florida on the last play of the game with a blocked punt. I think this will be a good game following your near win over Michigan. We beat a bad Nicholls State team who previously lost to Oregon 66-3 and beat Western Michigan.
I checked out your athletic website. Your new stadium looks really nice as does your Indoor Practice Facility. We also have an IPF and as soon as the season is over we will start on Phase I of a $125,000,000 football facility and overall athletic facility Master Plan. I've always respected the MAC. UL has played a number of MAC teams over the years, but this is our first game vs. Akron. Our most recent game was in 2010 when we lost to Ohio 38-31. We changed coach in 2011 to Mark Hudspeth and have had back to back 9 win season and two New Orleans Bowl wins over San Diego State and East Carolina. We are 5-6 vs the MAC since 1989.
I see that ESPN3 will now be carrying the game, so I'm looking forward to watching a good game.
