As I read between the lines. UofA we don't want you to walk away from us. No doubt in my mind no matter what Manny claims. They want to sell their blighted properties. They just still want as much as they can get for them and they now know UofA will not pay the 3.1 mil for Joe's I also don't think a real estate broker is going to be able to help Manny come December the new trial date for his IMO, this will be settled through mediation.

If a third party is brought in to determine the price, it won't be nearly as much as what they court ordered UA to pay. There's still no way in hell that that parking lot is worth $1 million.

I hope the mediators award the nemers a bag of M&M's a long with a swift kick in the pants. that would still be more than their dive is worth but I'm a nice guy who likes to see people get a little extra

I fully agree that that parking lot is not worth $1 million. However I have also learned that you should never, never, never put yourself in the hands of a 3rd party mediator or in binding arbitration as you will often be surprise at the outcome.

This not binding arbitration. This is mediation and the Nemers attorneys have already stated they have been having some very fruitful discussions on settling this. A 3rd pary is impartial and will look at the facts.I seriously doubt they'll rule on this close to the 3.1 mil with the common knowledge the jury ruled based on real estate broker and not a licensed appraisor.IMO, that why the Nemers and their attorneys don't want to go to circuit of appeals and want UofA to pay 3.1 mil before they rule.

The U isn't going to pay 3.1 million, at least not until the court of appeals makes them. But I would guess if mediation fails, and it goes that route, the cost would come down by the appeals court ruling.I sure hope they get this whole thing resolved soon. Manny can get his money, move across the street somewhere, and we can have some cool new dorms fronting Exchange. IMO, that why the Nemers and their attorneys don't want to go to circuit of appeals and want UofA to pay 3.1 mil before they rule.
