ZachTheZip Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 Yeah, it's already time to focus on Syracuse, at least a bit as we try to analyze last week's game. They're opening as 7-point favorites, but I see no reason that we can't win on Saturday. We should be able to have our way on the ground, and the passing game looks more than good enough to keep their D honest. They are primarily a rushing team, which at first glance looks bad when you remember Wisconsin. They can't throw the ball at all, though, and their RBs and O-line are nowhere as good as the Badgers. They couldn't even score an offensive touchdown against Northwestern. The biggest challenge will be the stadium itself, although I don't anticipate a large crowd after a demoralizing loss.Akron will score plenty of points, and should win convincingly. I'll be looking forwards to UA's second win over a BCS team in just three years. It looks like it could be a major week for the MAC over the Big East with Temple looking for revenge against UConn and Buffalo going to Pitt. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted September 1, 2008 Author Report Posted September 1, 2008 Couple of Syracuse message boards:http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=185&f=2826http://www.cuseorange.com/forum/viewforum....03ccad32517c2caNot too any happy thoughts over there. Some good news, though, is that while "Cuse opened up a 7-point favorite, the line is already down to Akron +4.5 and it continues to swing more to our favor.
