Guest ***GUEST_Z.I.P.*** Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Did anyone else listen to the broadcast of the BSU game? At halftime Frenchy was interviewing some beer company exec -- the price of corporate sponsorships I guess. In any case, while the audio was coming in and out on my PC, the subject turned to the ESPN Bracket Buster games, and they brought up Oral Roberts as an opponent -- this is what I thought I heard at least -- for either Akron or Can't St. ORU is a very good, quick and athletic team, bit hardly a marquee opponent. Did anyone hear better just what they were talking about? Quote
zipboy Posted January 28, 2005 Report Posted January 28, 2005 KD mentioned possibly Bradley or Wichita State. Quote
Big Zip Posted January 28, 2005 Report Posted January 28, 2005 Pairings will be announced Sunday. A win against Miami should get us a great game. Would love to see 16-2 Wichita State. Quote
Zipster Jr Posted January 28, 2005 Report Posted January 28, 2005 Gleaned from ESPN.com -- Andy Katz.. quoted on MACbbs Projected ESPN Bracket Buster Matchups... http://www.ncaabbs.com/forums/mac/invision...=ST&f=1&t=18611 Illinois State (14-5, 6-3 MVC) at Akron (12-5, 6-3 MAC) This is a case of who has earned a TV game. Akron is in the thick of the MAC East race. Illinois State is still hanging around in the MVC. And remember the committee is somewhat stuck with which teams are home and road. Quote
Big Zip Posted January 28, 2005 Report Posted January 28, 2005 A win at Miami tomorrow and Miami isn't the best team in the MAC East any longer -- it could change this guesstimate. Quote
