Guest ***GUEST_Captain Kangaroo*** Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Click for BG Fans' Thoughts I've never been on their board before. Maybe because they've been in the MAC west? They do a good job. Great win by the Zips tonight, BTW!! Quote
Guest ***GUEST_Z.I.P.*** Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 I'm LOVE'n it!!!! Can't wait to flame the BG fans on the MAC-L listserve. Punk? 15 pts in 18 minutes provides a lot of reason for the BeeGees to hate our li'l Bubba. How long will it take for this to get on the UA BB office board? Whoops, you say its already there? Quote
zipper Posted February 5, 2005 Report Posted February 5, 2005 I've talked to Bubba several times and he has been nothing but respectful. I'd never call him hot headed or bratty, nor have I ever seen any inkling of bad behavior at the JAR. What happened at BG? Quote
Guest RTN Posted February 5, 2005 Report Posted February 5, 2005 According to the radio broadcast, Steve French noted that Bubba was given a hard foul late in the game. I believe French stated that it was the second time in the game where he was struck in the face. Apparently, the BG player tried to "attaboy" Bubba and Bubba stared him down and walked away. The crowd was indignant over Bubba's "audacity". Bubba had apparently had enough. He played one heck of a game, though. And, for every BG fan that (ignorantly) called Bubba a punk on their message board, there was an equal number that praised his performance. Go Zips!! Quote
Z-Pouch Posted February 5, 2005 Report Posted February 5, 2005 Click for BG Fans' Thoughts I've never been on their board before. Maybe because they've been in the MAC west? They do a good job. Great win by the Zips tonight, BTW!! I don't think there is anything wrong with this team taking on some personality. It was one of the things I really liked about the Bosely/Ball/Andrick days. They were tough likable guys that put it all on the court and outwardly expressed a passion for the game and winning. One of the things I noticed this year is that the bench seems to be more into the game - standing, cheering, rooting those on the floor on -- We didn't see much of that in recent years. Most of the time, guys in the past seemed to be sulking (obviuosly something to do with Hip's constant yanks). Another great change and sign of a team coming together. Pumped for Wednesday Quote
