w00t Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 RPIStill have remaining games against #13 (Michigan), #27 (Buffalo), and #30 (OSU) that could help... unfortunately Wright St., Penn St., and Western Michigan will drag it down. I would say the odds of getting more than one home game in the tournament are slim. Winning our remaining nine games would help. The good: 3-0-1 vs. RPI Top 25The bad: Seven teams on the schedule currently in the bottom 50... and we tied one of them. Quote
GoZips Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 Do not look at who is number 4 in the RPI.A 12 would at least give the Zips home field advantage through the first two rounds.Just remember: This is a young team. They will excel over the next couple of years.I believe they are excelling already. But, I'm a homer. Quote
w00t Posted October 15, 2008 Author Report Posted October 15, 2008 We need to get a top eight seed to get two home games (the 16 seeded teams get a bye in the preliminary round). Quote
RootforRoo44 Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 well then, you people better be at the game tonight,Saturday and the remaining two home games so we can be extra loud and get those wins to better ensure an 8 in RPI or better. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 The best way to affect your seed beyond the RPI is to win big to affect your standing in the polls. That means that people need to come out and support the team big time. I'll be at all the remaining home games, plus the one at OSU. I hope to see everybody there. Quote
