Zippy989 Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 This article on Niagara web site downplays Akron's last two wins over Toledo in OT and @ Ohio by 20 points, calling it a "modest" two game win streak. I'd like to see the Purple Eagles beat Toledo and Ohio back-to-back... Niagra Press Release... Z-Pouch Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 Is that 4-7 on the road ? A good solid win and momentum going into Wednesday's big game would be nice. Everyone's talking about a run and gun high scoring game, interesting to see if our defense can put the clamps down on them. Looks like they have yet to be held under 70 pts. Can the Zips keep them in the 60's ? Quote
Zip Watcher Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 I think this game should be an exciting thing to watch. Sort of wierd, given that it has no bearing on the conference race that they're in. Do you get Milum, Goddard .. etc. some minutes to shake the rust off for the stretch run? The defense has been strong & I expect nothing different tomorrow. In fact, given the difference in leagues played in, I'm expecting the UA D to be successful in putting on the clamps. I'm not sure this would help get an at-large NCAA bid, but I do think a win tomorrow and a strong finish and run in the MAC tourney will help get KD & the boys into the NIT to practice for the big run they'll make in the big dance in '06. Go Zips! Quote
