GoZips
Cloudy with snow showers becoming a steady accumulating snow later on. Temps nearly steady in the mid 30s. Winds NE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 70%. A slushy accumulation of less than one inch. That's tomorrow (Sunday's) Chicago area forecast. A heavy, wet snow to blanket the region. Postpone and play in some gym at a Chicagoland high school?
ZachTheZip
Let's hope fate has a sense of irony.
Zipsrifle
It would be nice if someone could take a picture of Lee Jackson Field right about now to see the field condition. Hopefully they have continued to work on it anticipating another home game later this week. Wouldn't it be interesting if the field was in good shape tomorrow and the game at NW had to be delayed because of field conditions? BTW, it looks like rain most of the day tomorrow in Akron. tbozeglav
It would be the ultimate irony if the game was snowed out.I just noticed that Northwestern's soccer field uses a FieldTurf playing surface, much like the one used at SVSM, so I get the feeling that the game won't be delayed in any way.... GoZips
As of 6 PM (EST) / 5 PM (CST) a Chicago radio station was announcing that a Winter Storm Warning has now been issued for Chicago on Sunday. New projections call for three to six inches of snowwith a high of 29 now expected. Along with the snow is forecast strong, near gale force, winds.Sure would be nice to see this game come back to Akron. Unfortunately, the weather was merely apretense to allow the bastards of the NCAA to move the game to a venue more to their liking.Besides, this same weather is projected to strike Akron some time Monday. All this snow and cold temperatures is unusual for Northeast Ohio in November. The two idiots thatran for the office of President need to note that global warming does not produce longcold spells in a seasonal climate that gradually ratchets down from Summer. GoZips88
When it's not cold, windy, and snowy, here's what NWU's Lakeside Field looks like ...NWU Lakeside FieldIF the NCAA decides to postpone the match tomorrow, it sure would be nice to get word as early as possible to save us and UA the time and expense of sending three buses west into a storm on Thanksgiving Weekend Sunday (think we'll experience just a LITTLE bit of traffic on the turnpike?!). The Beautiful Game was not meant to be played on an artificial surface.

However, I can make concessions if it doesn't rob us of home games in the tournament that we have earned and others have not.
