UA Fan
http://www.nfldraftscout.com/TSXCharlieFrye.PDF (you may need to scroll up to top of page after you click the link) Competitiveness 1.1 He is the classic fan favorite with Brett Favre toughness and mentality. He is the type that will initiate contact on defenders and will not hesitate to get into the face of an opponent. He is an aggressive playmaker who will sacrifice his body and play with reckless abandon (much like Favre in the early years) to make the play. Frye proved in 2002 that he could play with pain (broken thumb) and just keeps attacking the defenses, even when he knows he is drastically outnumbered. Big Zip
I'm no expert draft analyst, but how is ever couple years a guy from Cal emerges as a top notch talent -- goest high in the draft and amounts to nothing in the NFL -- yet every couple years they do the same thing. I'd trade Kyle Boller for Charlie Frye straight up today.
Zipsrifle
Nice Find UA Fan! This guy seemed very knowledgeable on Frye, kinda like he watched a few games....I imagine it was all on film. I think the one comment I didn't agree with was when he said Charlie has "Ball Security Issues". I thought that was probably his biggest assest, considering all the pressure he was under, he took very good care of the ball! I also noticed that one of his worst games in 2003 was UCONN. If I remember correctly, he was hobbling the entire game, I thought he made a heroic effort. If he is simply rating the performance independent of injury, that could be why. Though I am a bit critical, I think this guy pretty much expressed what we knew all along.
