Akron, OH - The University of Akron Alumni Association and the Department of Athletics have partnered with the Cadillac Ranch for the week of the MAC Tournament. Cadillac Ranch is the official Zips Headquarters. The Cadillac Ranch is located at 200 Euclid Avenue in downtown Cleveland and is within walking distance of Quicken Loans Arena. The Cadillac Ranch will offer a variety of food and drink specials to patrons wearing Zips attire throughout the week of the tournament. Fans can also take advantage of $8 valet parking or $5 parking validation courtesy of Cadillac Ranch for the garage on Ontario St. Specials will run from noon to 9:00 p.m. everyday throughout the tournament.The men’s basketball team will play Toledo on March 10, and the women’s basketball team will play Central Michigan on March 11. Both tournament games will be played at the Quicken Loans Arena with tip-offs at 6:00 p.m.Tickets for the men’s championship event, which runs March 10, 12-14, cost $32 ($10 for UA students with valid student ID). Tickets for the women’s championship event, which runs March 11, 13-15 is general admission, and cost $10. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets and reserve their seats early through the Akron Athletics Ticket Office. Fans can purchase tickets and reserve seats by calling 1-888-99-AKRON or by visiting the box office in the lobbies of James A. Rhodes Arena. Hotel information is available at www.mac-sports.com.
