timmyboy Posted March 11, 2009 Report Share Posted March 11, 2009 Akron extended an offer to 6'6 310 pound Tackle Eric Franklin out of Youngstown Mooney. I seen him play in a game against steubenville this year and he didnt really impress me. Maybe he had an offday, but i do remember the LB from steubenville (who signed with West Virginia) constantly beating this guy around the edge and getting to the QB or RB in the backfield. Hope that it was just a very bad off day. He also runs the 40 yard dash in the 5.4-5.7 range, which is pretty poor for an OL at the D1 level. The kid blew away all others at a recent combine with his strength,size and speed. He had a 4.31 40 time which was his best and his worst time was a 4.42.
