GoZags Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 Headed to Portland in a few minutes (I live in Seattle) and wanted to drop by and let you know I've enjoyed learning about your program. Today is such a special day (I kept waking up and thinking about the dance). While I'm hoping for a Zags victory -- I'm certainly not taking ANYTHING for granted (never have, never will). It should be a very good college basketball game.Good luck to the Zips. GoZags. Quote

higherroad Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 that literally must be be every student in the entire school. As a Washington Husky alum, it pains me to say it, yet the Zags have one of the best student sections I've ever seen including any Pac-10 games I've attended. Their student section seats 1200+ students and they've sold every student ticket to every game for the past 6 years or so. Pretty impressive considering their student body is around 4,000. As you noticed from the video, it was against lowly San Francisco. You should see what they do when we(UW) come to town . Beat the Zags! Quote

Beat the Zags! man...UW people on the boards even! That is impressive though, we cant even draw 200 rowdies to a game when we have 1400 of them and they draw as many students as we do and do it with 1/6 of the students.Tonight may change all of that though. ksu sucks Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 Wow, their entire student body makes up less then one freshman class here yet they can bring in that many students. Could you imagine if Akron starting winning like that? The AK Rowdies would fill the entire JAR. Quote
GoZags Posted March 20, 2009 Author Report Posted March 20, 2009 Nicely done.See you next year !!! Quote
bandzip Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 Ok, this has been bugging me for the longest time ever... what the heck is the name of the song in this video?? I've been searching all over for it but I have no clue where to start! It's called Kernkraft 400 by Zombie Nation. Quote
zipboy Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Impressive which reminds me of one thing. In the MAC tourney, the AK Rowdies were given seats behind the Akron bench which was fantastic. Every other team this year and in years past including Akron put their students either in the upper deck or behind the basket for the tourney. They definitely made the atmosphere better and louder behind the bench and deserved it for being at all the game this year. Sometimes I scratch my head at our administration, but that was a good move. Quote
