Kangaroo Craig Posted April 18, 2005 Report Posted April 18, 2005 Here is a link to another story about Charlie Frye. It is from the Cleveland Browns web site and is the first of a two part series. If he is still available at #34 and Cleveland doesn't pull the trigger on him then they are total morons. Frye is the best QB in the draft. If he was coming out of a BCS school he would be the #1 choice hands down! If Green bay doesn't choose him at #24 then someone is going to get an absolute steal in round two! http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news_room/n...rts/4171.0.html Quote
Zipsrifle Posted April 18, 2005 Report Posted April 18, 2005 I’m a Browns fan but PLEASE don’t draft him! If he goes to Cleveland they’ll ruin him. Then everyone in NE Ohio who never knew of Akron football will now BLAME Akron football for wasting a draft pick. Won’t help our status at all. If he does well, everyone will forget he was from Akron anyway. If he goes to another team, every time they come into town it will be how “Akron Zips Grad leads so-and-so against the Browns†If he does bad at another team, nobody knows where Akron is and won’t care. If he does good, then hell, Akron might get some press. Especially when that team comes to town. I’m not sour on the Browns. It’s the “Die Hard OSU/Cleveland Fan†(who attended BG) that I hate! I know how they think, I’ve been surrounded by them my entire life. I’m bitter today huh? Quote
Kangaroo Craig Posted April 18, 2005 Author Report Posted April 18, 2005 If you would have posted this a year ago would have agreed with you. I am very optimistic about the new direction of the Cleveland Browns. For the first time since their return to the NFL they have a good GM who has a provern track record of drafting players. They also have a head coach who has many years of NFL experience and who has worked for the likes of Parcells and Belicheck. He is also a humble man who does not have an over inflated ego. Frye will be in good hands if he ends up there. Botch Davis and Carmen Policy are gone. They were the ultra egos that nearly succeeded in destroying that franchise. Quote
