Akron is First choice among NEOUCOM applicants

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/multip...own-2013-a.html^^^I routinely go on these forums...there's never any mention of Akron because these kids get off on prestige and selectivity(something Akron COULD have )Typically you only see Miami or Case mentioned(and OSU every so often), but when NEOUCOM acceptances and rejections come out I like reading what schools kids pick as their first choice(Akron, Can't, or Youngstown State( )). This class I thought it was interesting to see most of the kids picked Akron as their first choice. Can't only had a couple kids. I'm sure it's gotten even more lopsided in recent years with Akron's additions to campus.My point? If UA ever instituted tougher admission procedures kids from all over this state would be fighting to come here! Can't's campus just doesn't compare!Right now the more competitive students just see it as a joke. An open enrollment city institution. And so does U.S News and World Report.
