ZachTheZip Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 Anybody pick up a copy of them, or at least look at them long enough to post what they say?Phil Steele has us finishing 3rd in the East, behind Ohio and Temple. All the predictions are so wildly different that I can't really give much credence to them, but it's fun to see how people who don't follow the MAC think we will stack up. What crack is he on My mistake. He has us tied with Temple for 2nd. Not sure why Temple was listed first, but whatever. Also, Steele has us as the tenth most improved team in the nation compared to last season. Between that and the CFN preview basically saying the same thing, I'm starting to feel pretty good, but we all know more then they do how much this season rides on eliminating the mistakes (game-killing INTs, really dumb fumbles, missed defensive assignments) that kept the Zips from running away with the East on talent alone. johnnyzip84 Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 Over the weekend I flipped quickly through a Sporting News and saw that they picked the Zips SIXTH in the MAC East (can't recall who was behind UA). I promptly returned the trash to the newsstand. I know these magazines are pretty silly for the most part, but SIXTH???? You have to be kidding me. Quote

I'm bullish on the season and look forward to the Zips playing in the championship game this year. Hopefully leaders will emerge on both sides of the ball focusing this team and preventing late game collapses that have plagued Akron. Quote
