A few of those could end up with decent attendance. I wonder if we get to keep concession money and some of the gate money, too. The best part is that this will bring out the community to campus.
In the golden years of City Series football back in the 1970'sAll of those would have been a great draws. But, the following is sorely lacking these days.I'm afraid most of those will see sparse crowds unless the teams are having a decent season.Firestone has three games at the Info and they went from City Champs in 2007 to 0-10 in 2008.They'll have to do far better than that to get a following.

For the Hoban /SVSM game those gate receipts will be split between the 2 schools. The Akron City games gate will be kept by the district. The university will keep all concessions monies.

Well Hoban vs. St. V should be a near sell out and an extremely fun game to watch

3 Firestone and 3 North games? Looks like they're inviting schools based on academics rather than football quality - probably a good plan for the University.

They also did a good job not allowing Firestone vs. East and Buchtel vs. Firestone. They obviously don't want any trouble at the games.

Looks like it's a good thing we added Morgan State after all, otherwise U of A wouldn't have been involved in the Info opener.
They only added the St. V/Hoban game after the Morgan State date was announced. They were previously slated to play at Green Field.
Actually, the original site of the game this year was Hoban's Dowd Field, until the Info date became available.

That's correct.UofA wanted to be the 1st game at the Info and Hoban-St V was going to be at Hoban this year. When UofA added the Morgan St game. They called Hoban-St VM and told them the Info was available for their game. They usually draw 15,000 to 20,000 for this game.

WE'RE NOT YOUNGSTOWN!!
NOBODY IS YOUNGSTOWN!!!LOL, take a runt-sibling version of pittsburgh, mix in a perpetual timelock on a 1970s New Jersey rescession, and stir in some appalachian charm and some rust-belt flair, with a more ruralized version of chicago politics, and you've got Youngstown. For all these years, outside our area, Akron has been seen as not much more than Cleveland's underside... but the way things have been going in Cleveland vs the way they have been going in Akron, I think an apt adjustment to the metaphor is Gold-Member.(Let me preemptively apologize to anyone who is offended in youngstown or here in akron. Lampooning is a little hobby of mine, and I wasn't thrilled to see the goofball comment in the PD yesterday about how akron is "afraid" to schedule the pinguinz)

Firestone lost to Twinsburg 51-6 last nightDon't expect many fans at the Firestone games new stadium or not.

Does anyone know if the playoffs will be housed at the Info? It would be great to get the State Championship game moved. I would also like to see some changes next year to include schools from NE OHIO playing neutral site games. Schools that are perpetually strong and turn out Div. 1 athletes. St. Ignatius, St. Ed, Glenville, Strongsville, Solon, Mentor, etc. they could play Canton schools or Akron schools.
