Z.I.P. Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 Three shots already for Darlington, "May I call you 'Darling'" Nagbe. One of my home boys, Kekoa Osorio starting in the midfield for the Mustangs. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 Every game, it seems like the other team has far more fouls. Either they're playing more physical than the Zips or they're struggling to stay with us. Quote

w00t Posted September 4, 2009 Author Report Posted September 4, 2009 0-0 at half. Slow start, but we had the better of play and more quality chances. Quote
w00t Posted September 4, 2009 Author Report Posted September 4, 2009 GOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Gavin converts the PK! Quote
ZachTheZip Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 GOAAAAAL! Way to go Blair Gavin! Quote
ZachTheZip Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 Ouch. Zemanski gets a yellow card. Probably fed up with all the fouls SMU is committing. If the refs call 18, I can only imagine how many dirty plays are going on behind their back. Quote
Z.I.P. Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 Three minutes to play. Still 1-0 Zips. SMU's played a good all-around game. They may be ready to surprise in the C-USA this year. Quote
johnnyzip84 Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 Nice, solid win. Might need to pick it up against the home team Sunday. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 Good start to the season. I'm sure we'll come out much improved against Tulsa. Quote
w00t Posted September 4, 2009 Author Report Posted September 4, 2009 Zips win 1-0! Sarkodie earned a PK and Gavin made it count. SMU was a quality side... Great start to the season! Quote
Z.I.P. Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Full 90:00. Akron holds on for win. The guys played a tough, physical team tonight and were able to overcome. Next game (Sunday?) vs home Tulsa, ranked around #15? Akron must be somewhat more productive offensively. In other scores, I see that Notre Dame was able to draw vs Wake. That was either @ South Bend or @ IU, in a tourney I suspect. Anyone know for sure? Quote
Z.I.P. Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Zips win 1-0! Sarkodie earned a PK and Gavin made it count. SMU was a quality side... Great start to the season! Was there any audio on this? How did you know it was Kofi? Didn't show on the Gametracker. Quote
Z.I.P. Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Northern Illiinois leads national finalists North Carolina 1-0 at the half. UNC hit crossbar with :20 left in 1st half. MAC needs a win by someone besides the Akron Zips for a change! Quote

ZachTheZip Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 In other MAC news, NIU tied North Carolina 1-1 in Chapel Hill. A very good result for them, but a win would have been much better for us. I want MAC men's Soccer to succeed because if it doesn't we'll be in a world of hurt when it comes time for tournament seeding. Quote
