WBB vs. Temple

Tonight at 7:00 is the biggest game of the season for the women's basketball team. The Zips are 6-5 so far, and Temple is 9-2 coming off a loss to Villanova. A win here would be a monumental upset but Akron is a tough, scrappy team. Hopefully there is a good crowd for a women's game. Lots of AK-Rowdies would be nice (and they should want to show up thanks to a point system being put in place). The girls really feed off of the energy of a loud crowd.This game is part of the deal with Temple for football. Temple must play every MAC team once in men's and women's basketball over the course of their contract.

Hey Zach & Rowdie Crew,The flushettes play two (2) games here vs Hawaii over the next two days. You have any ideas for a Zips in Paradise welcome ceremony? I thought maybe we could deck the halls with doobies in the arena to make them feel at home.

The Zips lose 55-43 in a hard-fought but frustrating game. Temple's strategy on defense was apparently to foul on every possession and take away the three ball. It worked. Temple has a good record, but they weren't all that impressive from what I saw. I think that the lady Zips could be in for a decent season.
