Hey Humpty

Where have you been ? I have been missing you lately. In fact if the ref had not had to seperate you from the Bull player yesterday I would not have known you were even on the floor. I don't know where your head has been but it sure looks like you have a chip on your shoulder. I liked last years Humpty much better. Seriously, this team is in big trouble of we don't get Humpty and the McKnights in gear. McNees and Conyers are the only two stepping up right now and they need some help if this team is going to go anywhere. Zeke looked good in spurts yesterday and made a couple really assertive moves to the hoop. If he demonstrates that kind of confidence going forward he's going to be fun to watch. I really like this kid, just he needs to stop being afraid of making mistakes and looking over at Keith waiting to get chewed out. Hell, we all make mistakes so don't worry about it Zeke. You are not going to cost us any games but you sure can win us a few !Agree with the thoughts in the Buffalo thread about their arena. It's just a great place to watch a game and their students really bring it. Also a few nice hotels right across the street from campus, we could have walked to the game had we chose to and had a nice long weekend save the results of the game.I will take some exception to Keith's T yesterday. Yes he deserved it once the fat ref made his way across the floor to confront him. The ref was grandstanding and very unprofessional, 95% of all officials would have stayed in place and the T would have never happened. We lost the game because we let two guys get off like crazy. What's made this team great over the years has been our ability to hold scorers in check. I can't remember two guys going off on us for a long, long time. One last thing, we sat with Mr. and Mrs McNees yesterday. Just wanted to say that they are very nice people and we enjoyed their company.

nope, we lost the game because we missed around 50% of our free throws again. not gonna win many games, let alone games on the road with all the misses we had. i didnt check the box score, but from what frenchie was saying, our made baskets were about even with UB

I'm starting to get sick of the free throw misses. It's not just a few guys either, it's nearly everyone on the team missing. I've never seen anything like it...oh wait nevermind i've seen it from the Zips every year since Dambrot has been coach. Do they not practice them?!

I for one would hope that they do NOT take time out of practice to shoot free throws. This is Division I college basketball. These guys need to practice free throws on their own time. Practice time needs to be for the game plan and for doing things with the team. These guys can go to the gym at practically any time and have someone rebound for them while they shoot. No reason not to. You can maybe get on KD for not holding these guys responsible, but don't expect him to take time out of practice.
