ZachTheZip
God I hate MAC refs.I wonder if the refereeing situation affects recruiting in the MAC. These recruits come in and see what they have to put up with every game, it can be enough to change their mind.At least we're winning. UAZips
Zips up 50-38 with 11:30 left.Zips shooting 53% from the floor, 54% from 3pt, and 83% from the line (5 of 6)
Dave in Green
With 11.5 minutes left, Zips ahead 50-40. Fouls are evening out a little. Zips are playing good D, and not falling apart on the offensive end. Good consistency. This is exactly the kind of play it will take to win the regular season championship. UAZips
Kool is getting his points, aside from that no one on WMU is doing much. Zips playing very nice defense tonight.
UAZips
56-45 Akron with just under 10 to go.
ZachTheZip
Can't let Kool get to 28 until the game is well in hand.
UAZips
60-50 Akron, 7:37 left with Conyers heading to the line to finish a 3pt play.
Dave in Green
The key is for the Zips to remain aggressive on the offensive end, which they are. I like the way the Zips are playing tonight.
Z.I.P.
Kool is getting his points, aside from that no one on WMU is doing much. Zips playing very nice defense tonight.I say the best strategy for WMU is let Kool score, and stop everybody else! When they played in HI, DK only scored about 8-12 ppg, but several others stepped up, winning two games and nearly beating eventual champs USC. ZachTheZip
I'd like to see the Zips come out and play a full-court press most of the game against Toledo.

Dave in Green
With 1:54, 71-61. Other than too many missed free throws in crunch time, the Zips are playing exactly as they need to play at both ends of the floor.

ZachTheZip
79-70 final. A good win. That was probably our toughest remaining road game, not counting the bracketbuster.
infofan
huge win on the road. good job- put Can't game behind them quickly and refocused. Dave in Green
Outstanding team effort with lots of good individual performances, and 10 players getting double digit minutes of playing time. Solid defense all the way. Good field and free throw shooting makes up for below average rebounding. Individual props to Nitro for his best game yet -- 3 of 5 from the field, including a couple of 3s, and 2 assists in 15 minutes of steady play.We need all of you guys to win, and you all delivered as a team tonight.
