In the next month they play Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and Kentucky AT HOME, on LEE JACKSON FIELD. Give this team a shot and come out and see them perform, it is worth the $3 several hundred times over. Excellence and teamwork is a beautiful thing and Ken Lolla's group has it down to a science. This team is UA's first NATIONAL TITLE CONTENDER in any sport in almost 20 years, get behind YOUR team! Beat Ohio State, 7:30 p.m. Friday night - fireworks to follow the game Akron football is on the road for TWO WEEKS STRAIGHT starting next Saturday against Buffalo and the following week at Miami. Our first two bus trips have been a gas and the next two are going to be even better. Call 1-888-99-AKRON and ask for Jeremy to book your seat. There has been a ton of traffic on this board lately and expectations are high for the team. Know that expectations are also high for the fans to follow the team and make an AKRON presence at the games. A flood of Blue & Gold entering stadiums at UB, MU, BG, and BS makes a statement to the league, and to prospective bowl scouts who want to see if we have a following. After bus one fills up we wil lkeep getting them - get on the bus - get to the game. Akron volleyball & basketball will be on display Oct. 14 in Rhodes Arena. VB plays Can't State and needs your support. BKB will be scrimmaging for the first time and you really want to be able to say you were at this event as it is going to be a blast - complimentary hot dogs, popcorn, Pepsi and other fun stuff is on the menu for the night and it's the first time to show that the public is behind YOUR team. 6:30 is the start for VB, 8:30-9 pm for the hoops action and it will all be over by 10:15 at the latest so come out and enjoy. The coaches and student-athletes appreciate your support - come out early, be loud and wear your blue & gold! P.S. If someone tells you to be quiet or not cheer at our games, be louder and make them change or leave. It's time for the vocal minority to purge the old guard as a new day is on the horizion. Go Us!
