GoZips
You know what is really disturbing about Charles Ramsey getting ejected for two technicals on him?Ramsey is generally a soft spoken and a well liked MAC coach. The odd thing to me was how much EMU benefited from what was obviously biased officiating,If you don't believe the officials were homering the Zips just as they did Central Michigan, youhave no clue about basketball. The officials need to be reprimanded and suspended by the league. Fat chance of that happening.EMU had so many favorable calls and no calls it was difficult for the Zips to get in a rhythm.Toward the end of the second overtime the officials did what game officials often do when theyhave been favoring one team. At a point they back off and leave the favored team to finishthe game on their own. EMU could not "pull the trigger".Ramsey was obviously "protecting" his thug, er, player. Darryl Roberts took a vicious chop to histhroat that doubled him over in pain. At first the officials seemed reluctant to review the foulon the monitors. When they did, they realized that the foul was intentional and flagrant. Theplayer was ejected and Ramsey exploded. When you have been the beneficiary of favorableofficiating you often have this type of bad reaction. Ramsey owes the Zips and especiallyDarryl a heart felt apology. His player was a complete thug. What really hacked me was Carlos Medlock repeatedly DELIBERATELY dribbling into Akrondefenders and getting rewarded with free throws. He did this numerous times leading toseveral Zip players fouling out. This is not good basketball ... its cheating. And, the a-holeofficials repeatedly rewarded Medlock for his poor sportsmanship with free throws.Medlock is a bum.p.s. It has been determined that the officials all live in Cant. He did exactly what we'd want our guys to do in the situation. If the refs are handing out free trips to the line like that, then any good player will take advantage. The refereeing was pathetic though. I was screaming at the TV most of the time. It's a shame. He admittedly lost it when told his guy was ejected even though he wasnt charged with a foul. ( how does that happen?). He virtually had the game wrapped up and he lost it ( can u say foul akron at end of regulation). But he had the decency to go over and congratulate KD on the victory before being escorted out. That was classy.
Dave in Green
I was at the Q, and left my voice there. I could not yell loud enough to express my displeasure at the refs. There were bad calls both ways, but more against the Zips. If Coach Ramsey objectively reviews video of the game and is honest with himself, I don't think he can say that the refs cost his team the game. EMU would have lost in regulation if the refs hadn't tried to foul out every forward on the Zips' roster.

He pushed off players before getting the ball and then when driving constantly lowered the shoulder and kept getting either no call or a block call. Call the fouls and Kool's out early and CMU wins the game.
