Zippy989 Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 Zips need BG to knock off Miami... Here's some encouraging news... Omar maybe back for last three games. Back on practice field anyway. http://www.toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a...RTS03/511010378 Quote
bigzipguy Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 Pressure is on the passing game Sat against Ball St. They have a better defense than B.G. and will do a better job of shutting down the Zips running game. Any comments?? Quote
Quickzips Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Don't abandon the run. Make them use their "good" defense to stop the run. Make them stack 8 in the box and then burn em on quick, short slants and high percentage pass plays. If we abandon the run early its gonna be a long day for the zips. Quote
bigzipguy Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 I agree, don't quit the run, but will Getsy and the receivers be able to steop and make the palys???? Quote
Quickzips Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Not really sure on that but if we can force the Testicles into single coverage the odds of it go up exponentially. From what I understand Ball State has a pretty good run D but is weak against the pass. We gotta use Biggs' ability to make the first guy miss and pick up positive yardage to force the Testicles to bring safety's up to protect against the run. Praticularly on early downs. At that point in time we need to work on the play action quick strike. Hixon and Montgomery can beat many DB's 1 on 1 and if there is no safety help up top a 7 yard slant can easily go for 6. Quote
bigzipguy Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 I agree quickqips, can Getsy remain cool under fire???? Quote
