RatFink Posted April 10, 2004 Report Share Posted April 10, 2004 It had been speculation and rumor that the contractor that installed the turf at the Rubber Bowl and now in the field house is in financial difficulties. Appearantly the contractor has closed done. The turf is on site at the field house with no one to install it. Work is stopped. Work in the two outdoors fields is appearantly continuing. It was reported that the ground is being cleared for side by side grass and turf fields. The original plans called for two full length practice fields. Just reported was that the turf portion will only be sixty yards long. Maybe the university can cut its losses and sell the place to the Suckeyes. Do the deal, Charlie.
