Zipsrifle
It is pretty clear that OU has the better college town Have you been to Akron recently? Exactly what makes OU so great? If I were going to pick a better looking campus, it's OU hands down. They've got those classic old looking red brick buildings everywhere and the campus is sprawled out. Akron has those classic 1960's yellow brick "could have been a factory" buildings right on top of each other. Don't get me wrong, I am VERY impressed with what has happened at UA in the past few years, but we've got an urban feel and frankly, need to keep improving before I'll put our campus on the same level as OU or Miami. By the time that happens, the entire East side of Downtown will be owned by UA.
JP Morgan
This may be the lawyer coming out in me, but he said "better college town." Now campus athetics would certainly factor into that, but its much more. I would argue the city of Akron has much more to offer college students than Athens. Last time I was in Athens was probably 1997, so my opinion is dated, but Athens to me was a neat, old college surrounded by a bunch of dive bars and hemp stores.
