Huskie fan here. First off, congratulations on winning the MAC East. I thinks it's great that tonight's championship game has some new faces for a change. I hope your program continues to improve. Hopefully not as looooooooooong as it took Northern's to turn around.

Now as far as tonight's game is concerned, I'm probably one of the very few Huskie fans who believes that this game will be much, MUCH closer than many think. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this is another nailbiter going into overtime. I think our defense has improved since our last meeting. We'll see if they can do a better job this time, but I don't know. Obviously the biggest difference is that we have Nicholson at QB instead of Horvath.

Any differences with the Zips now compared to our last meeting? Always fun to speculate on stuff like this.

Here's to another thriller tonight (how about a dozen overtimes!) and may the best team win!! May the winner represent the MAC well in the MCB!! No matter who wins tonight, I hope that somehow both teams are able to play in the post-season!!

Good luck...well, not really...but you know what I mean. ;)

GO MAC!!!

Diffrences in the Zips now as opposed to our first meeting.

-We've taken the game out of Luke Getsy's hands on the offense. Brett Biggs is the player who controls things on offense. Getsy merely has to hand the ball off and make sure he can hit recievers occasionally to keep the defense honest/when the opposition starts stacking the box to stop Biggs.

-The defense is playing a ton better. We gave up on that prevent defense at the end of the game shit and kept the pressure on right to the end. I know a lot of NIU fans like to call our win a fluke due to the miracle 2 point conversion and Wolfe being banged up, but fact of the matter is if we don't go into prevent at the end of that game it never even see's OT. Thankfully JD has learned that lesson and the last two games we have kept pressure on our opponents late into the game despite having a big lead.

Those are the two big diffrences to me. And I definitley agree with you that this is going to be a very close game. I think we match up pretty well against you guys. Unfortunatley many of your fellow Huskie fans see this as a blowout and may very well end up biting a lot of nails tonight at the very least.

Akron wins if they cause turnovers and score off them. Neutralizing NIU's offense is impossible, but if Akron can make some key stops in the 2nd half and keep the game close, I think they may pull this out. Biggs and Hixson have to be factors for a Zips victory.

Prediction:

NIU 31

Akron 21
