Motor City Bowl plays Big Ten 7th place finisher...currently that is Minnesota, but Purdue is number 8 to bad I would like to replay them and see how we would do I think we would do alot better. Minnesota has another good tailback Laurence Maroney....anyone think we could shut him down?

No. I know I will be bashed for this, but Minnesota will put a hurt on our Zips.

Purdue finished with a losing record so they will not play in the MCB or any other. They have to rank right up there with Tennessee and T.A.M. for most disappointing season. Remember how high they were on their outlook at the beginning?

We'll probably be 14 point underdogs again in the MCB whoever we play but we will hold our own. Minnesota has been capable of losing to other MAC teams in the past, on their home turf even. They don't have a monopoly on speed and physical players.

Not sure if the Big 10 has enough teams qualifying for bowl games but I think Minnesota may go. Otherwise, probably a C-USA or MWC opponent will go to Detroit. It's confusing this year.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but landing PSU and tOSU in BCS bowls screws the whole thing up. My understanding is the MCB will be left with an at-lg. team instead of a B10.

According to New Mexico's website, they are headed to the Fort Worth Bowl. Due to the proximity to their campus, that one probably makes more sense for them. I have also seen by various prognosticators that Memphis may be considered as an opponent for the Zips. Although that would make for a good game, I would like to see us play against a higher profile school from a BCS conference. Hopefully there are enough BCS eligible schools to choose from.
