Professional UA Student Posted December 5, 2005 Report Share Posted December 5, 2005 Akron is a flush in the pan, similar to WMU back in the late 90's. They backed into the MACC game. You guys are MAC Champions this year but in order to have a great program, you have to be consistently good over time, like Toledo. Akron will be, at best, 6-5 again next year. I would give my left nut for a cross over game, at Toledo of course because we do not like playing in front of high school crowds. Like I said, enjoy your 15-minutes of fame and your 7-6 record. I'm a student of Akron, but I also race dirt-track cars on the weekends. Your complaint reminds me of a quote that comes up a ton when one of us is talking about how good we did in a recent race: It's Not Where You Run, It's Where You Finish! This sums your complaint up 100% as far as I'm concerned! Akron finished on TOP, end of story. I used to have a fairly good opinion of the University of Toledo guys, but people like you really make me question this.... For you to find this AKRON message board, register a name, and then flame the AKRON crowd really speaks volumes about the people of Toledo! I've been running dirt sprintcars for the past 5 years but I think we are going to switch to asphalt this year out of practicality. Nice to see another racer on this board. You lose. You guys are MAC Champions this year but in order to have a great program, you have to be consistently good over time, like Toledo. I only care about the years I'm here. So far, we have a bowl game and a good year last year. ZOMG! Akron will be, at best, 6-5 again next year. I would give my left nut for a cross over game, at Toledo of course because we do not like playing in front of high school crowds. I HAVE BOTH MY NUTS But, maybe our QB will be good next year. All we need is some offense, and we'll do just fine. Like I said, enjoy your 15-minutes of fame and your 7-6 record. AHAHAHA you suck.
