I don't think you understand how tough it is to get a BCS team to your home site. Unless Akron signs a 3 for 1 or maybe a 2 for one deal, I don't see a Big 10, Big East, or any other BCS school coming to Akron just because you won the MAC title. You don't see Toledo, NIU, Miami, and BG hosting BCS schools on a yearly basis and Akron is not at that level of recognition yet. Akron needs 1-2 more solid years before BCS schools offer some deals.

I'm not asking this question because of the Zips winning the MAC this year, though it can't be denied that the program and the U have momentum of the type it hasn't ever enjoyed (improved facilities, strong recruiting, players in the NFL, a real campus, quality leadership, etc.).

UA already has Syracuse on the schedule at home. I think getting the bottom and mid-tier teams from BCS conferences comes down to one thing: money. UA has to have a big guarantee, one that runs ahead of attendance-driven revenue, to get a team of that level in yearly.
