johnnyzip84 Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 Link Ianello has a point regarding the position switch to protect his shoulder. He was an offensive threat at Hoban for sure and he'll have three years to focus on playing TE. It still seems like we have too many of them though. Maybe stick Hall back on defense? I doubt it. xu9697 Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 I think we are @ 5 on the roster right now. For a pro-style offense, I think that is a great number. You figure, if you are lucky, you have 2-3 TEs that can bascially "do everything", 1 that is mostly a blocker and 1 that is mostly a receiver. Biggest issue with TEs from most teams that play a pro-set (either exclusively or at times) is having a QB that can find the TE. Michigan before RichRod and Boston College at times over the years are 2 teams that have done a good job. Wisconsin and USC are others. Quote
