GoZips88
Is anyone aware of any effort at the U of A to find a radio station with a stronger, more reliable (FM?) signal? We live in Norton (8-10 miles from campus) and I have to subscribe to the Internet broadcast if I want to listen to Zip broadcasts. Signal is OK for the most part from Akron out route 224/76 to Cleveland-Massillon Road. Once we exit and head into Norton, goodbye signal. Parts of Copley are the same way. I had no problem with reception outside of the Wolstein Center in CLEVELAND!? the other night. REALLY FRUSTRATING!
zip37
Let's hope. That is one sad station--last nite it was particularly bad--like they were running the signal on barbed wire from Athens to the abandoned rubber factory in Akron.WBALAL
Quickzips
Yeah, I couldn't even hear Frenchie over the static for most of the game.

Kangaroo Craig
1350 definitely is too weak of a station for us. Unfortunately it is all about supply and demand. As our teams continue to improve their games will become much more in demand. Once the demand gets high enough, it should be possible to move to a station with a more powerful signal. from there it becomes a domino effect: More fans, better station, larger coverage area, then even more fans. I hope!
zipboy
Maybe it is just the way the wind blows but 1350 is the only Akron AM station I can get. 640 and 1590 are horrendous for me. The feed Tuesday was tough but that is the only time that I have ever had trouble.
