rln Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 The Zips get a two sport stud-athlete in Avery Holley. What a rercuiting coup! Check out this link:http://elytigerhoops.com/ Quote
zff Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 I read some where that is wants to play both sports in college...... Quote
RobC2 Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 I didn't know Avery played b-ball as well. How about Josh Chichester visiting today! He could probably play both sports as well! Quote
TXZipFan Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 Too Bad Chichester committed to Louisville, woulda made this an already solid class, an even better one. I am going to still look for Akron to pressure him into a signing day change of heart. Stay close to home and help lift this up-and-coming team to dominance, he'd also get a shot of pay-back on Sept.7, 2007 in The Shoe when Akron squares off with the Buckeyes... boy would it be nice to see the Zips go in there and steal one, it'd really help bring the program into the national spotlight. Zip Watcher Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 Any news on this guy? Rivals is still listing him as a UA guy, but no LOI? Quote
zff Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 From a FL newspaper......Moore wasn't the only surprise Wednesday at Ely. Avery Holley, a point guard and wide receiver, was a no-show. Holley, who was scheduled to choose between Akron and Florida Atlantic, postponed his decision. Ely coach Greg McGirt said Holley may announce his decision Friday.''I think maybe Avery wanted the spotlight all to himself,'' McGirt said. There was speculation among online recruiting gurus that Holley might have put a hold on his decision to wait for an offer from the University of Miami. Zip Watcher Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 Is he really getting interest from Miami, given the class of RB down there? Maybe they're looking at him as an athlete? Quote
zff Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Holley Signes with FAU........He will be watch the Zips in a Bowl at Home. Quote
gozips19 Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 that's too bad....does anyone know what's holding up the dt from alliance? will he have to sit out a year due to grades? Quote
zff Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 I did not read anywhere that he signed a letter of intent so he could still goto any college he chooses but his gardes are not good enough now to get in. Quote
