Dave in Green
60-56, no, 63-60. Holy crap!
bandzip
Poor clock management cost them that game. You're inside your ten yard line and count on the defense to get a stop? Why not call a timeout anyway? Not like the extra time will help Northern with 2 minutes left in the red zone.. Instead you get 18 seconds to score... Stupid. Dave in Green
Awesome offensive display. First play of the game was a 100-yard kickoff return. Final stats of 59 combined first downs, 1,117 yards combined total offense, and a 63-60 win for NIU. Final play was a Toledo 14-yard pass followed by a lateral and another 15-yard gain to the NIU 25-yard line in field goal position as time expired. ZippyforPresident
What a wild game. One of the best examples of one of those games where nobody really lost, but somebody ran out of time.
Valpo Zip
I feel bad for Eric Page. The kid caught 5 TDs and still went home as a loser

Neither defense had stopped anyone all night, yet Beckman bets the farm on a defensive stop. Unbelievable. Even a mediocre junior high coach would know to use your timeouts in that situation.
