xu9697 Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 I think it deserves it's own thread. Coach Ianallo's mother has passed: http://www.ohio.com/sports/mother-of-ua-fo...friday-1.246923 I know very few of us are happy with Ianallo as a coach...and many of us do not like a lot about Ianallo and how he has handled his time so far at UA. But the loss of one of those people that uncondtionally loves you is a tough one. Coach Ianallo: wishing you and your family strength in this time of loss. Quote

Dave in Green Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Well said, xu9697. I join you in wishing only the best for Coach Ianello and his family in this difficult time following the loss of a beloved family member. Quote
hiroad1 Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Agree 100%. I really despise what Ianello has done to the program, but that is professional, not personal. I actually feel sorry for him that the timing of the passing of his mother comes while he is in the midst of anxiety over his loss of a job (he must be speculating about it). I too express my condolences and respect that he will be with our football team during the Thanksgiving holiday during this period of grief. Quote
Doug Snyder Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Few are happy with the performance of the football team. But no one can question the effort of Ianello or his staff. I have always supported the coach and actually think he is a good guy. His players and the players family like him personally (those that I know or have spoken to). I truly wish the team had been a success on the field this year. Losing a mother and possibly losing your job is not something I would wish on my worst enemy. To see it happening to someone I respect and like is heartbreaking. I hope he finds the strength to carry on. They say God only gives us adversity in amounts we can handle...if so, Ianello must be a very strong man. Coach Ianello...you will be in my prayers. You, your family and team continue to have my support. Quote
UAZipster0305 Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 +1. My dissatisfaction with iCoach is purely professional. I wish him the best during this difficult personal time. Quote
Buckzip Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Thoughts and Prayers to Icoach and his family. I don't wish these things on anyone. Quote
scottditzen Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 Prayers for you and your family Coach. Quote
Dave in Green Posted November 25, 2011 Report Posted November 25, 2011 Just posted this in another thread, and thought it would be appropriate to also have in this thread: Mrs. Rita A. Ianello's funeral services will be held on Monday. Quote
