Class of 82
I know we have "the best facilities in the MAC," but what else about the Akron job should appeal to a quality candidate? I'm too bummed out and angry to think about it clearly at the moment. Perhaps the less emotional at Zips Nation could articulate why HC at Akron as of December 2011 is a worthwhile job for a promising young coach. UAZipster0305
Because it won't take much to create a short-term improvement. How could things possibly get worse? They couldn't!
XCWarrior
Pros It is a a bit surprising. You are surrounded by a good amount of talented high school football in Summit, Stark and Cuyahoga Counties. You have a great new stadium. If you win 3 games you'll triple the past two year's individual season win totals. You are in a bigger city in Akron. Cons Ohio State owns your state Cincy is now viable as well to take more kids away. You are in Akron, not exactly the prettiest city. The winter weather. The soccer team's current roster could suit up and beat the football team. So there you go on why no one wants to coach here.
