His ESPN profile is the most telling. I wonder where coach will line him up as I see he is considered a WR on some of the sites and an ATH on others.

From that ESPN write-up (what is offered for free):

Boyd is a really savvy, good football player that you just wish was a little bit faster for the position. He has adequate height and is a well built athlete with some functional strength at an early stage. He is a tremendous pass catcher and specializes in making the acrobatic....

Sounds like a perfect MAC recruit...and LOVE the "tremendous pass catcher".

Didn't click on that tab so thank you for the info!

I absolutely agree. This sounds like a great pick-up. We beat out UCF for him which shows how well Bowden and his staff can recruit. If I were a receiver, and with how much Coach has talked about opening up the offense, you bet I would want to come to UA and play.

Nice job Coach Bowden!

Rivals is no longer showing him as a verbal. They have Akron as high interest. They also show that he now has a Penn State offer. I have a feeling the Penn State offer may be why he is no longer verballed, however, I would want no part of PSU right now.

PSU is really struggling right now. They are in for a long decade.

I wouldn't want any part of that program either if I was an elite prospect. But if my choices were Akron and PSU, PSU would be my choice as a 17-18 year old with no allegiance to either.

You can un-pin this thread. He's as good as gone.

I guess he didn't make the trip to Psu this weekend and a lot of people are unsure about him committing to penn state. I wonder if Bowden is still talking with him?
