Hi, Zips! Looking forward to our season opener at Akron. I still have the 2002 and 2003 UCF Football posters from when UCF was in the MAC framed and hanging in our home pub. You guys are on 'em... at UCF in 2002 and at Akron in 2003. I think we each won the game that we played at home.

If any of you would like to stop by the most active UCF fan forum and talk about the game, especially later in the summer as the season draws near, visit UCFSports.com. You'll find a number of diehard fans, and like every school's fan base, I will warn you that it includes a few who try their best to make the entire fanbase look bad... you'll recognize them quickly enough. Just know they're not representative of the whole. Sometimes it gets a bit slow during the summer when vacations kick in, but as we approach the first kick-off it will get kind of crazy on there.

Looking forward to the start of the 2012 season... hopefully, a very successful one for all of our opponents, except for when we play them. :-)

GO KNIGHTS!!!

Thanks...what is the name of your home pub? I know the Zips beat UCF at the Citrus Bowl at least once. Would love to hear about a comparison of both of our new football stadiums from any UCF fans that make the trip up this fall. I'm sure we'll be visiting your board leading up to the game

Welcome UCF93 and thanks for the info

You are correct that UCF beat Akron in the Citrus Bowl in 2002, and the Zips returned the favor by beating the Knights in the Rubber Bowl in 2003. However, ZippyRulz is also correct in that the Zips won the series finale in the Citrus Bowl in 2004.
