ZipAnalyst Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 63. Louisville 18 11 .5733 44 .566164. Akron 20 8 .4940 173 .5658But in a real game Louisville mashed us. Does RPI mean anything? Quote
dialsfan11 Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 You're damn right it does. Give our team right now a shot at Louisville right now and I couldn't pick a clear cut fav. When looking at RPI you can't say 60 is def better than 62 or even 70, it's more of a grouping. Can't being 60 and us at 64 shows you that the two teams are pretty much equal, although we know we're better, as are most teams within 15 to 20 spots of eachother.Just in case antonio forgot Quote
mrelegazna Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 Plus, no ranking system is gonna be perfect anyway. I don't have a beef with the RPI formula (or what I know of it, anyway). Quote
gozips19 Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 i think we'd have a pretty good chance at the ville at this point in the season on a neutral court. padget just went out with a knee so they wouldn't have much more size than akron. i do feel that the rpi is mostly on. the only problem we had this year was that the non conference teams we played normally have better records and would have given us a better ranking and perhaps a shot at an at large bid. oh well lets win the tourny and not worry about it! dialsfan11 Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Don't know if anyone watches the Big East but after last night I'd take the Zips over the Cardinals on a nuetral floor. GO ZIPS!! :macc: Quote
dialsfan11 Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Really what's your reasoning. Must not have watched the same game as I did. Quote
