GoZips88 Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 With Temple at home and Chaney retiring, I'd like to think that we won't have to also contend with A10 officials to boot. On second thought, maybe A10 officials don't care for Chaney after what he pulled last year against St. Joes. Anyway, any idea how the NIT determines which conference(s) the officials come from? Will we see MAC-only? A10-only? Mix of MAC/A10? Non-MAC/A10? For the ESPN BracketBuster games, the officials come from the road team's conference - all three officials in Reno were from the MAC for the UA/Nevada game. We'll see WAC officials in Akron next season if Nevada shows up.Just wondering ... Quote
FearTheRoo Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 Not sure on that one. I can say you will not see a mix of officials from both conferences. It will be one or the other. I have some connections with a few MAC officials. I will ask. Quote
FearTheRoo Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 I stand corrected. I spoke with on of the MAC officials (worked a few of our games this year!) and he said that the NCAA selects the crews for all games in both tourneys. They will be a mix of officials from verying conferences. There is no telling where the three on tonight's game will be from! Quote
