I second that.CSTV and CBS will televise the nationals in two weeks from Sacramento.It's too bad the team doesn't have more support from the campus community. Maybe a national champion or two can change that.blogs.ohio.com/rasor

Russell should have the best chance at a national title. The only surprise for me was Beata not making it. Seems like after CC season, they decided not to run her too hard this spring.

christi smith won the heptathalon in 2000 already and little recognition from the community -- not to be mean, but it's track and it's not a big spectator sport unless it is the national championship -- good luck to those going to nationals.

These were the NCAAl Championships -- not the MAC Championships -- and definately not the Akron City Championships. So why wasn't this covered better by the Beacon ... the Canton Repository had better (and more accurate) coverage.

Everyone did about as expected. I had hoped that John may have gotten a top 3 finish. Hard to tell what the weather was like, but an 18 foot jump would have been nice. Never the less, an outstanding year for Akron track.
