johnnyzip84
Dear Mr Steinbrecher, I hereby request you to please, PLEASE, place the State University of New York at Buffalo on the University of Akron's 2014 football schedule. Best regards, johnnyzip84

skip-zip
We should be playing all of the teams in our own division.
johnnyzip84
We should be playing all of the teams in our own division. Agreed. This was really a comment on the egg the Bulls laid yesterday on the Smurf Turf. I don't think there is any way the Zips lose that badly had UA played SDSU. MDZip was right. The "success" of U@B was an illusion. Their "big" win over OU, in retrospect, was more about the Bobcats imploding down the stretch than the Bulls asserting themselves. Now take away their 3 best players (Mack, Oliver, Neutz) for 2014 and Jeff Quinn should be scowling all season long.
Balsy
I tried finding where I posted it on the other page...with little success...but I believe Buffalo will be on our schedule next year based on the matchup history we have in the MAC. Every year we have four OOC games which we know at this point: Pitt, Penn State, Marshall, Howard. Every year we face these MAC east opponents: Can't, Miami, Ohio, UMass (which is what used to be Temple's spot) That leaves 1 more east slot and 3 West slots. We should expect to play buffalo next season for the last East slot. Based on the scheduling trends, we should face EMU, WMU, and Ball St. (Ball St is a toss up for me, it could be CMU at that point as well.) Of course I don't know anything but I used the shcheduling trends to predict this year's schedule months before it was released, and came up 100% accurate, so here's going for it again! MAC Schedule: Can't, Miami, Ohio, UMass, Buffalo, WMU, EMU, Ball State (I would gladly be wrong with my prediction if it meant we got CMU instead). I still don't know why Toledo didn't get OU's or Buffalo's bowl bid anyway. Plus, it would have been good for us to have "we beat a bowl team" on our resume going into next year.
