I thought it'd be an interesting discussion to bring it up...74% of athletics is subsidized (I'm presuming by the student body/other sources of money that are not ticket sales/merchandise. Now Subsidization seems like an awful dirty word, but I wonder how those expenditures break down. I'd imagine a large portion of those expenses are scholarships for athletes?
