Initial thoughts are that this guy looks pretty good on paper. He had a winning record at a Div 1 school and took over schools that were not very good. Given his education background, is he doing this job full time?

Well, not too sure how good a hire this would be as he coached at Fairfield and Manhattan and would suspect not hot beds for tennis. Who knows but how much does Akron care about tennis.. took them three months to hire someone!

Was waiting for someone to post this. I didnt wanna be the one to do it. This guy, Jeff Wyshner, is very good. I interviewed him and talked with him a few weeks ago. I was really hoping that they would hire him. I see him really helping our team. He is a positive guy, who is very easy to talk to. We needed someone like that. He really knows his stuff, and to top it off...he is very smart. Went to Yale and Columbia, so education is obviously important to him. He led Fairfield to the NCAA tournament, and he also took them to the championship of the MAAC in his first year there, when they year before I think they finished 8th.I am VERY VERY excited to have him as our new coach

That is good to hear that the team is excited about his hiring. Good luck on the season.

I was checking out the UA "Future Projects" web pages when I noticed in the "Greek Village" plans they showed tennis courts (item #16 in the plans - future tennis courts?) I wonder if this will be done separatly, part of the Greek Village project, or as part of the football stadium project. The map indicates the current surface lot SE of the nat would be the tennis courts.
