Balki Bartokomous
The Zips must be gaining some national respect. In ESPN's whats hot and not in college football team, one of the nots was good schools playing crap schools. Nowhere to be seen was Penn State playing Akron. What a change in times. two years ago, that game would have been at the top of the list. And much to Phil Steele's dismay, Those mighty mighty Golden flushes of Can't State were an example of a Jobber team. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/preview06/co...mark&id=2540583

bobbyake
i don't see how we get unsaid respect here. I think they just failed to mention Penn State because they didn't want to take up more room and waste time listing every team they're refering to.. Penn State plays Youngstown State and Temple. Balki Bartokomous
For years we would have been on that list just because they like to show the worst teams. IE Can't.Penn State, after the year they had and Joe Pa and everything would have been a perfect example for a great team. A couple years ago we would have made that list. Now a just not being on the list says we are a better team an not looked at like an automatic win. Will be beat Penn State? HELL YES WE WILL (ok maybe not, but we aren't going to roll over and die like Can't does everytime the other team comes through the tunnel.)THUS, ESPN has given us unsaid respect by NOT putting us on the list. bobbyake
they didn't put a lot of teams on that list that could have went up there. Even though I'd hate to see Akron as an easy win for Penn State, look at Penn State's other non conference games. I honestly think they just only poked at a couple teams. But who knows, maybe they think that despite Penn State playing Temple and Youngstown, Akron is worthy enough to make up for it. I think Penn State has a really good shot at winning the Big Ten this year. It would be nice to see Akron do good against Penn State but I honestly would rather see us playing Illinios or Minnesota. NC State is going to be difficult one for us. Maybe we'll get lucky and beat Penn State and NC State. You never know, I did it on NCAA football for PS2. ZachTheZip
If we win at Penn State and NC State, I can see that giving us enough confidence to go undefeated in the regular season. Will it happen? Probably not. Is it possible? Absolutely!
