GoZips Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Received a telephone call from a university staff member Wednesday evening with anupdate on the parking situation.Apparently wise heads at the university now realize that the $500 "gift" was more of ashot in the back side. Thus, they are seeking smaller donations for said premiumparking places.I was asked to contribute $100 (a far, far more reasonable request). I countered witha suggestion of my own. How about a donation of $99 in the form of a family pack ofseason tickets? Good idea. Boosts the season ticket holder count by four (I already have my reserved section tickets paid for), chance to spread good will by donating the family pack tickets to various friends who rarely or never attend Zips games.Done deal. The university gets $99 and boosts the season ticket holder count and gainsground on the 15,000 requirement.I strongly urge that all of you consider this option. Quote
ziptrumpet87 Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 seems to me that anyone wanting to buy a pair gen adm of tickets ($110) would help the university more if they bought the family pack ($99) and never used the "children's" tickets... they'd save money and it would add to the "paid attendance". bobbyake Posted August 25, 2006 Report Posted August 25, 2006 careful though, if the bums that stand outside of the Aeroes, Indians, Browns, and Cavs game hear about this, they'll be all over the Rubber Bowl asking for extra tickets and then selling them for crack money.Sorry if this comment offends anyone. Maybe they don't all use that money for crack, But it just irritates me to think that they might. Quote
fear the brown roo Posted August 25, 2006 Report Posted August 25, 2006 i think i could live with that Quote

One that they obviously never considered. That guy who contacted you had better be on the phone to every current season ticket holder offering the same deal. If you ever need a job, the Zips should hire you for their marketing department. Heck, I'd hire you to work in sales! Quote
