Interesting news about the McDonald's move, I'm all for it. Sure, it's just a McDonalds but it will look spiffy and new and replace what's there now and the 10-ft stainless Zippy facing Lee Jackson would rock. Hopefully they would even use Zips logos and photos for the inside decor. UA would need a lot more room around the current McD's site to build the new stadium but I don't think there's anything sacred between the fieldhouse and Exchange St. They may just have to relocate some dorm space in the process. But if they're going to build *on campus* there aren't a lot of other options and it would make sense to put it near the other athletic facilities. To put it south of Exch. @ Kling St. I'd think they would still have to acquire a lot of properties and you know some of those owners are going to hold out for a king's ransom before they sell.

It's going to start getting fun with the fieldhouse and new practice fields completed next month and the new student center and honors complex set to open by the start of school. Then the beginning of the Exch. St. renewal if the Mickie D.'s project gets started in Sept. as mentioned in the article.
