Balki Bartokomous
Blah blah blah, fire brookhart, blah blah blah. How dare he lose? yada yada yada. fire him. blah blah blah. Faust would have won that game. (insert stupid stadium argument here)
fear the brown roo
is anyone actually even thinking that?
Valpo Zip
Even with the loss, coach brookhart is the man !We got in the red zone 3 or four times without getting a point. We missed a very doable field goal... 3 interceptions and still came only 3 points short.
msopher
You guys have a star coach on the horizon and already I see "Fire..." posts??? Even if their serious or not, that is just ludicrous. You can't win every game in the MAC, including on the road.

(insert stupid stadium argument here) god guys lighten up. it's not really for us that he's saying that, but he's mocking all the other fans that may come out here and read it. Zipsrifle
If anything, this thread is a testament to the fans here. If Michigan had lost yesterday to ND (the #2 team in the country), by a FG in the 2nd OT, this would be the response. If OSU could win nearly every game for years, but lose the last game of the year on a regular basis, this was the reaction. As Akron fans, we know we can't win every game, recognize we have a good thing going and that we have an improving program. I think our expectatons are reasonable, and we don't spout off the mindless phrase "Fire the Coach" the minute things don't go our way. Balki Bartokomous
I'm glad to see that some of you understood this thread. It was mocking the idiots at other shools who think one loss means that christmas isn't coming this year, the coach should be fired, and the sun won't rise. Valpo Zip
I know that game results are a huge parameter in deciding the coaches fates. However, I don't think that the coach should always be used as a scape goat. Even if we loose to Can't (god forbid), we gotta see the reason why we lost. JD has nothing to do with the loss yesterday... Nothing, he couldn't go down and kick instead of the kicker, he couldn't throw instead of Luke, and he couldn't prevent DK's injury.Regardless of the score and the opponent, JD did a great job. The right formation, game plan, substitutions, challenges etc... By the way, am i the only one who feels good about the score yesterday ?This is how i see it: "Luke probably played his worst carrer game, DK was injured, the kicking was horrible, we were on our 3rd straight away game and we still lost by no more than 3 points to a very good team."
