CMU now leads the series, 11-9-1. The Chippewas have won eight of the 12 meetings during MAC play (since 1992) and five of the last six in the series.• Akron’s string of 46 games without allowing an INT return for a touchdown was snapped in the second quarter. Prior to today, an opponent had not run an INT back for a score since Sept. 21, 2002 (Virginia).• Akron’s 95-yard scoring drive in the third quarter was its second scoring drive of the season that went for 90 or more yards (96- at N.C. State).• Of Akron’s 57 points scored this year, 34 have come in the fourth quarter.• Akron’s string of two-straight games holding an opponent under 100 yards rushing was snapped. CMU finished with 129 yards on the ground.Player Notes:• With 375 yards through the air, QB Luke Getsy moved into third on Akron’s career passing yards list. Getsy now has 4,233 yards in 16 career games. He also moved into the No. 7 spot on the career total offense list (4,140).• Getsy recorded the fifth 300+-yard passing game of his career (16 games) with 375 yards on 25 of 46 passing. The 375 yards ranks eighth on the Zips’ single-game list.• Freshman WR David Harvey recorded his second-straight 100-yard receiving game with 133 yards and two TD’s on 5 catches. Over his last two games Harvey has 9 receptions for 261 yards, an average of 29.0 yards per catch.• Junior WR Jabari Arthur caught two passes for 31 yards on Akron’s final drive of the second quarter. Arthur had 8 receptions for 137 yards and a TD.• Akron had a pair of receivers finish with 100+ yards for the first time since last year's 48-42 overtime win over Northern Illinois (Sept. 24, 2005).• DB Reggie Corner’s INT in the third quarter was his first of the season and the fifth of his career.• Redshirt freshman DL Wallace Pendleton made his first-ever appearance for the Zips on Saturday.
