Paradise, CA

In 1998 I saw the Akron softball team compete in the preseason NIT Tournament at the National Softball Center in Sunnyvale, California.  Akron was ranked #25 in the nation in the preseason and this was the season opener.  Akron's team had two players who were among the NCAA career leaders in HRs at the time.  One of those players hailed from the town of Paradise, California.

I remember this fact, as I read of the nightmare Camp forest fire that has totally destroyed that town of 26,000 people.

Does anyone remember the name of the former Zip?  I believe she was a catcher.
